How HiiL uses data innovation to spark change in the justice system

Compared to sectors like education, healthcare, or infrastructure, the field of law and justice has historically had much less of a data-driven decision-making culture. But that’s starting to change, and The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL), a social enterprise devoted to user-friendly justice, is one of the leaders. In this webinar, Dr. Gramatikov, the Director of Measuring Justice at HiiL, shares how HiiL measures justice globally and how this kind of data is driving change in countries like Uganda. HiiL is dedicated to user-friendly justice, which means justice is easy to access, easy to understand, and effective. They also seek to measure how legal problems are being resolved on an everyday basis.
